ZOO WARS-ACTION ALERT ~YOUR HELP IS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!!!
Good Afternoon…
I immediately got into the physical therapy machine provided for my use, due to my recent surgery; now planning the rest of my day. I’m thinking about how important tomorrow is and how far we have come since Tony at the Tiger Truck Stop has been under attack by Carole Lewis Baskin/Big Cat Rescue (BCR) and ALDF to take this tiger from his rightful owner, Michael Sandlin and the happy ending I hope will happen tomorrow with the final vote in the Louisiana House of Representatives.
I know you tire of hearing about Tony’s plight; it’s been a battle that has gone on much too long; literally for years. Surely by now if Tony was being harmed by being at the truck stop, it would be indicated in his health-Tony has remained healthy for all these years (now 14 years old) while cats continue to die at Big Cat Rescue at an alarming rate; mostly from cancer as it’s built, on top of an old landfill with the cats provided unfiltered, untreated water that’s pumped from the old retention pool and positioned in the middle of a high traffic area in the flight path of the Tampa International Airport -No way is Big Cat Rescue a better place for any cat to live, thus les for Tony to be moved there!!!
SB 250 was written and presented to the Louisiana Senate by Senator Ward and with your help, the bill passed. SB250 is now on it’s way to the Louisiana House of Representatives for tomorrow’s vote and could end this matter.
Today is the last day for your voice to be heard asking for the representatives to vote yes to SB250 which will allow Tony to remain at the Tiger Truck Stop and end this nightmare once and for all. While it’s cost Baskin/BCR and ALDF (both out of state and NFP organizations) nothing; it has literally cost the taxpayers of Louisiana and Michael Sandlin thousands.
Tony is an extremely healthy, 14 year old tiger…the argument in the court and legislature has literally gone on for years and finally, it’s down to one last vote in the Louisiana House of Representatives.
We never would have been able to get this far without YOUR support!!! Michael Sandlin has managed to be able to keep Tony home because we have acted as a team and united in our effort to keep him home. Last week Tony had a big win in the Louisiana Senate; Please take a few minutes of your time today for a big win tomorrow; once again, we need to unite and see that SB 250 passes and allows Tony to remain with his rightful owner, Michael Sandlin.
