For Texas and liberty,
David Simpson
Texas State Representative, District 7

Rep. Simpson states at the link:
“My standards have not changed and I still oppose the egregious
infringements on the free market, privacy, and the private property caused
by the creation of the new dog and cat breeders bureaucracy with HB 1451.
My point to the group was simply that I work by principle not party,
politics, or personality. I was seeking to make the point that even though
I strongly opposed a Chairman of the opposing party, I gained her respect by
the end of the regular session to work with her where we agreed.”

Holley writes: “Simpson said he favored repealing HB 1451. He also said my
article had prompted several messages from dog breeders who thought he had
changed his position. He most certainly has not.”
End of all quotes.

RPOA appreciates the support from Rep. Simpson and thanks Joe Holley for
correcting his Houston Chronicle article (11/24/2012) where he misquoted
Rep. Simpson saying he “worked with Rep. Senfronia Thompson to strengthen
the bill. [HB 1451]”

All’s well that ends well! Let’s keep Texas media well informed and the
truth on the table!
