ZOO WARS~Taking Action for Animals~Ohio Resident FORCED to surrender Serval ~Authorotes send the cat to a Facility with 26 Animal Welfare Violations!!!
Straight came straight from a message from Big Cat Rescue (BCR) where Baskin is once again attempting to raise money to rehome the cat.
Letters need to go to Ohio complaining about this cat going to Big Cat Rescue
Talking points:
- Big Cat Rescue (BCR) e is NOT a FFW approved sanctuary.

- Big Cat Rescue (BCR) also did business as Wildlife on Easy Street (WOES) with 26 VIOLATIONS of the ANIMAL WEFARE ACT.
- Big Cat Rescue (BCR) has released confidential information to the public to defame the Ohio owner.
- Ohio is discriminating Private Exotic Animal Owners and placing animals in harms way
- Ohio’s regulations are illegal and unconstitutional and can be challenged.

This Serval has been taken from his rightful owners and the only place she knows as home.
Sheena is approximately 13 or 14 years old and appears to be angry and to have been well cared for.
In 2003 John Babb of Berea, Kentucky shipped an 8 week old serval kitten to a woman in Ohio, who named her Sheena. (The breeder’s website boasts that he is still selling serval kittens to pet owners in the U.S. for $6,000 and abroad for $9,000.)
Fast forward 11 years…
After Terry Thompson released 56 lions, tigers and bears in OH the state decided to ban the private possession of big cats, but grandfathered in the existing animals as long as the owners would build a safe cage, register the animal and provide insurance or a bond, in case their animal escaped and hurt someone. [BLOGGER NOTE: Terry Thompson’s death remains a cold case as there are many un-answered questions about his death and the release of the animals]
Sheena’s owner was willing to register her, and apparently kept her in a dog run, but was unwilling to provide insurance. She decided instead to turn Sheena over to the state of OH. [BLOGGERS NOTE: Translation, the owner could not afford to provide the insurance now required to keep animals in Ohio]
To our knowledge she is the first exotic cat to be surrendered to the Ohio authorities. The ban became law in 2012 and the exotic pet exploiters predicted that hundreds or thousands of big cats would be dumped on the state, but that hasn’t happened. [BLOGGERS NOTE: Many owners have been FORCED to surrender their animals since the new regulations have been in place]
People who really love their animals will do the minimal things asked of them by law to keep them. Sheena wasn’t that lucky…
[BLOGGERS NOTE: Sheena is one another unlucky cat in the US sent to live in a HELL-HOLE-Never before have there been such requirements placed on Exotic Animal Owners in Ohio-But Baskin has to talk smack about the owners of where these animals came from-and when they die, collect more money, BCR has the highest number of deaths at that facility in the United States-Do NOT donate, Carole and Howard Baskin are multi-millionaires-They do not need your money to support there collection of cats!!!]
