from TX-RPOA~THLN’s Animal Rights Agenda for Upcoming TX Legislative Session

If you own an animal in Texas, you should be informed and on guard when the
Texas Legislature is in Session! If the radical Animal Rights Brigade
hasn’t targeted you yet, it’s only a matter of time until they do.

Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN), the Texas arm of Humane Society of
the U.S., announces their slate (below) for the upcoming Texas Legislative
Session, which convenes mid-January. These organizations are not “animal
advocacy” groups as the title of their article below indicates; but are
actually vegan animal “rights” extremists with a national anti-pet,
anti-meat, anti-hunting, anti-rodeo, anti-Sea World, anti-circus, etc.
legislative agenda.

THLN’s lengthy article on PR Newswire is at the link below. Please read
every word!
(RPOA hasn’t renewed our subscription to PR Newswire this year due to the
cost. Without more funding, we’re definitely at a disadvantage out of the
starting gate!)

HSUS and THLN consider “all” dog and cat breeders to be “puppymills” and
spout their usual propaganda about the “Large Scale Commercial Breeder Act,”
which they pledge to defend next session. They are aware that RPOA is
bringing it up again!

THLN also wants to strengthen the existing Tethering Law which has been
unenforceable as written for years, asserting that continuous chaining of a
dog is inhumane. Didn’t THLN write that bill also?

As we expected, THLN is capitalizing on the issue of recent dog shootings by
law officers, stating that Texas heads the nation in dog shootings. Who’s
keeping the stats on dog shootings in every state in the country? More
There’s much more! A must read:

If these are truly efforts advocating “for” animal welfare, then THLN and
RPOA will be on the same page. But THLN history has taught us that “what
they say is not what you get” when you read the fine print in their bills.
