‘Lucky Dog’ UPDATE~Not so Lucky-GUILTY Verdict
So when the Humane Society Director/CEO claims she’s ‘saving the animals’ and ‘touched the souls of animals’ she does not necessarily mean that the animals found a home-It might mean she’s managed to hide she’s euthanizing the animals or taking them to be euthanized to an animal control in a nearby town animal control. It’s so easy to get away with this when the local government is corrupt, doesn’t actually care and actually (believe it or not) may have her back; especially after the local sheriff receives the Humanitarian Award- This is not the only humane society doing this-difference is, this one got caught and the authorities are doing something about it!!
News ALERT!!! -FOX Undercover Investigation!!!
Do your homework people…Do not donate unless you are willing to go the extra mile and research the organization/agency…I don’t care if it say’s rescue or humane society f it states No Kill or has a cute website or FB page…It could easily be BULLSHIT!!! This the reason I have said all along to go the extra mile and do the research!!! This is the most pathetic story I have ever seen!!! -ALARMING!!!
Thank you Randy Travis for exposing this!!!
Investigation exposes humane society ‘Lucky Dog’ program
Pet owners from hundreds of miles away drive to a small humane society in the north Georgia mountains because they think they’re saving lives, but an undercover Fox5 I-Team investigation found exactly the opposite.
For $100, customers could guarantee their dog or cat at the Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter would not be euthanized.
The shelter even sent emails announcing when your lucky animal was adopted.
An insider, though, says much of it was a lie.
But no one could have predicted what happened during a FOX I-Team undercover visit to Boggs Mountain. Not even us.
Randy Travis has a story of dogs, cats and people who don’t tell the truth.
Not all those dogs were so ‘Lucky’!!! Think there’s no money claiming animal rescue??? THINK AGAIN!!! How many others are out there lying?!? I know this case doesn’t stand alone with a humane society making claims that are outright lies and on the record.
‘Lucky Dog’ UPDATE:
Peanut Kilby found guilty on 60 counts in ‘Lucky Dog’ trial
RABUN COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities in Rabun County called 500 potential jurors — twice the usual number — for a trial that has rocked the animal rescue world across the country. Thursday afternoon, jurors found former Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter director Lowanda “Peanut” Kilby guilty on 60 counts of theft and racketeering. Kilby showed little emotion as the verdict was read.
