Zoo Wars XIII -What a stink!!!

Notice the similarities in these news reports!!! Obviously, these organizations orchestrated a raid on an animal enterprise!!! AETA and RICO!!! So far, I have found the two…bet there’s another for Black Beauty Ranch (HSUS) and even a separate one for HSUS participation!!!  Right under everyone’s nose and no one doing a damn thing about it!!! The cats were obviously well fed and had been cared for…no way I believe they were abandoned…Yes they needed to be rehomed…THIS was no rescue -Can you say people are stupid enough to believe anything -You just can’t fix stupid!!!

In the news from In-sync:

Two Seized Cougars Moved to North Texas

Two Seized Cougars Moved to North Texas

Two adult cougars seized along with a menagerie of wild cats from a private property in Kansas will soon call North Texas home.

Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie says one tiger, two cougars, three bobcats, two lynx, one serval and two skunks were taken Sunday from land belonging to a relative of a man arrested in northeast Kansas. Laurie says the animals were living in inadequate enclosures and were infrequently fed.

Laurie says the owner became combative during the seizure and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges, including interference with law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

Staff with the Humane Society of the United States and the Kansas City Zoo helped sedate and move the animals.

The two cougars, Charley, a 9 year-old male, and Buttons, a 6 year-old female, will move to In-Sync Exotics in Wylie.

The rest of the animals will be sent to animal sanctuaries in Florida and Kansas.

[bloggers note: this article showed several pictures and some posted-the rest at the link. These animals were not abused or abandoned-LOOK at the pictures!!! LOOK!!!]

[Here’s the near identical story!!!]

Big Cat Rescue will soon be home to some big cats that were abandoned in Kansas.

A volunteer veterinarian and two staff members went to Kansas last Saturday to pick up three bobcats, two lynx and a serval cat.

The animals were seized from a dilapidated home in Atchison, Kansas.  Officials said they were abandoned in their enclosures without food or clean water.

Also rescued from the home were one tiger, two cougars and two skunks.

Officials with Big Cat Rescue said Kansas law currently prohibits keeping dangerous regulated animals like big cats as pets.

“However, several provisions render the law virtually ineffective. Specifically, the law allows people who have a U.S. Department of Agriculture license to maintain an inventory of dangerous animals,” Director of Public Relations Susan Bass wrote in a press release Monday.

Big Cat Rescue worked with the Human Society of the United States, In-Sync Exotics and the Kansas City Zoo to rescue the animals.

These NFPs are patting each other on the back for this-and exactly what this is -Making it something it’s NOT!!! There was just a bad storm that went thru Kansas City and there has been one every week…Please note, the pictures were taken on property before the animals were moved. One cat was so full, he left all that food behind…There’s fresh straw…What a stink of a story this is and already BCR has their FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN started-What a shame that people are being SCAMMED for $$ from this FAKE rescue!!! So many cats have died at BCR lately there should be plenty of Baskin’s empty shabby cages available!!! The sheriff complained about the hose clamps used on the cages and that it was staked to the ground. Here’s what the HSUS representative had to say about the caging, LOL!!! Guess she’s never been to the HSUS GFAS Big Cat Rescue Roadside Zoo facility (this the best part)

“The Kansas City Zoo and Big Cat Rescue also assisted in the seizure.

The case highlights the need for Kansas to develop stronger laws to ensure dangerous wild animals are kept at accredited zoos and sanctuaries, said Midge Grinstead, Kansas state director for the Humane Society.

“It is sad to see these large, wild cats abandoned in flimsy cages that they could have easily escaped from,” Grinstead said in a release. “As we see in this case, when people own dangerous wild animals it creates an unsafe situation for the community and exposes animals to inhumane conditions.”

FOLLOW THE ANIMALS-FOLLOW THE MONEY!!! and they are just getting started at milking this for all it’s worth!!! For the full article from BCR, follow the link…only portions are included in this post:

Nine exotic cats and two other wild animals were confiscated from a dilapidated Atchison, Kansas, property yesterday after authorities discovered that the animals had been abandoned in their enclosures without access to food or clean water. The Atchison County Sheriff’s Office seized one tiger, two cougars, three bobcats, two lynx, a serval and two skunks under the state’s Dangerous Regulated Animals Act and the animal cruelty code. The Humane Society of the United States, Big Cat Rescue, In-Sync Exotics and the Kansas City Zoo removed the animals from the property and transported them to sanctuaries around the country.

Big Cat Rescue will provide a permanent home for the three bobcats, two lynx and one serval. A volunteer veterinarian and two staff members from Big Cat Rescue traveled to Kansas last Saturday with a modified tiger transport trailer to assist in rescuing the big cats and bringing them safely back to Tampa for medical evaluation and treatment.

Kansas law currently prohibits the keeping of dangerous regulated animals, including big cats, as pets. However, several provisions render the law virtually ineffective. Specifically, the law allows people who have a U.S. Department of Agriculture license to maintain an inventory of dangerous animals.

“As evidenced in this tragic case, the USDA does not usually remove wild animals even when an owner’s license has been revoked or canceled,”

Midge Grinstead, Kansas state director for The HSUS, said: “It is sad to see these large, wild cats abandoned in flimsy cages that they could have easily escaped from.

Any donations in excess of the amount needed for this project will be applied to other needs for the cats. *

*Consumer beware…this is another SCAM!!! If you have donated to BCR or In-syc based on this story or similar stories and wish to file a complaint please respond by commenting  it will not be posted…

The saddest part of the story is that the owner that they are so busy defaming and proclaiming themselves heroes signed over the animals and bet they prosecute him anyway…BASTARDS!!!

Considering how fast he gave those animals up, there is little doubt in my mind all they simply had to do is approach the owner and he likely would have given up the animals-Instead they are having a lot of fun at his expense!!! and getting $$ for having done it-sickening!!! If he didn’t have problems before this; he sure has a shit-load now!!!

If you are to take away anything from all this, then know the difference for a rescue and a rehoming of healthy animals. That owners in trouble need to learn where to go for help (see below) All the authorities and just about any facility operating under the guise of sanctuary is doing what they have been taught to do to establish an income…That’s how this country operates…A not for profit is no different than any other business with a few distinctive differences-The short of it-They do not pay taxes, provide a tax deduction if they have an IRS 501 (c) 3, and can not show a profit. There are a few more differences-this is the basic ‘regulations’. If they decide to shut down, they can not simply shut down and absorb the property…Once sold the money is to go to another NFP so as you can see, if Carole Lewis Baskin is low on inventory -the animals- she has to stage a rescue to hold on to the property and raise funds…that is her ‘product’ although she’s NOT a registered sanctuary with the state of Florida; she still is a NFP and she THINKS her only way (they all do that proclaim ‘rescue’ when it’s NOT) is to ‘stage a rescue’ and they live off the saddest stories possible. This is the DARK SIDE OF THE ANIMAL BUSINESS!!! BCR proclaims that all the money goes to the animals; actually, this is a lie…People are working there full and part time -PAID staff and likely she draws a salary…no one would deny her that-HA! She declares she does not-Although, at the very least funds collected pay for her to travel and her travel expenses as well as a car or van, whatever she requires least anyone forget she spent $300,000.oo chasing Joe for copy write infringement and looks like she’ll get NOTHING!!!-She most certainly needed a fundraiser!!! She also is able to take write offs on her personal income tax that any other business owner can take…

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A tiger and twomountain lions were among a menagerie of wild cats seized from private farmland in rural northeast Kansas, where they lived in inadequate chain-link enclosures and weren’t properly fed or watered, authorities said Monday.

Authorities found a tiger; two mountain lions; three bobcats; two lynx; a type of African cat called a serval; and two skunks on the property. They were taken Sunday from the land belonging to a relative of the animals’ owner and were turned over to animal sanctuaries in Texas, Florida and Kansas.

Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie said the owner became combative during the seizure and authorities found methamphetamine. He was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges, including interference with law enforcement and disorderly conduct. He also faces 10 misdemeanor charges related to the care of the animals.

Laurie said authorities became involved in early March after receiving a complaint. Witnesses reported that the owner previously had better pens but moved the animals to the relative’s property about two years ago. The move was supposed to be temporary, but the animals never left, Laurie said.

“It was dirty,” he said. “It was gross.”

The cages were made of chain link panels wired together with hose clamps. They varied in size, with the tiger’s measuring about 20 feet long, 10 feet wide and 7 feet high, Laurie said. The enclosures had mud floors and weren’t staked down. [bloggers note: another one who has never been to BCR]

“My dogs would have been out of there the first day you put them in there,” Laurie said.

Laurie said authorities weren’t immediately able to seize the animals because there was no place to take them. But authorities received permission from the property owner to feed the animals, a Kansas City Zoo veterinarian evaluated them and rescue organizations began lining up new living arrangements.

The owner didn’t live on the property, and, after receiving the complaint, authorities saw him tend to the animals only four or five times, Laurie said.

During the seizure, staff with the Humane Society of the United States and the Kansas City Zoo helped sedate the animals and prepare them to be moved. The Humane Society said in a news release that the tiger was shipped to the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch in Murchison, Texas; the two cougars to In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Center in Wylie, Texas; the bobcats, lynx and serval to Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Fla.; and the skunks to Operation Wildlife in Linwood, Kan.

Laurie said the owner is cooperating with authorities and released all the animals to the rescue organizations. The Humane Society said the animals will be held at the sanctuaries pending the final disposition of the case.

Nothing like a little extortion to get a owner to sign over the cats and as usual, the sheriff helped!!! Hey sheriff lady…cats don’t dig-dogs do!!! -What an idiot!!! His caging met the requirements as they did when he was permitted…I’m sure if I look hard enough I’ll find other PR releases that will be much the same…All agreeing and each twisting up the story a bit differently -the story will grow-HA!…Just wondering what happened to the days when the media took pride in what they produced and did some investigating of their own rather than to count of bloggers and fact sites to get to the truth of a story.

By the way, I received an email from BCR today-somehow I am on her mailing list…Surprise-Surprise, wouldn’t you know it…She sent out emails asking for donations for the ‘rescue’-got right on it didn’t she-lusting for the money!!! Get this…”The Most Daring Rescue Ever”…Yeah, OK…more BULLSHIT!!! On an old man and his caged animals…SERIOUSLY?!?

Not only did I receive the email earlier today but I received another a few minutes ago!!! This woman needs to take a good long look in the mirror!!! She’s out of her frickin’ mind…and like I have already stated…milking this one for all it’s got at the expense of a human life who had fallen on bad times. The pictures just don’t match with ‘the crime they claim he committed. A sheriff joined in and allowed this to happen and added words of her own in spite of it…a deal was made or were those animals extorted away from the owner?!?  It takes a fair amount of intimidation and demoralizing to extort animals from their owners!!!-Even if fallen on bad times and yet, could have been a pleasant experience for all concerned-including those animals.

  1. I see…WTF?!? Not one of these people did an actual rescue in their lives- where both owner and animals happy and thriving…not one stepped up to the plate to do the right thing for man and beast…concerned my ass!!!

via In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center
“We are simply concerned with people who do not care for their animals properly. Those who eventually have to have their animals confiscated by law enforcement for neglect. We have no problem with people who provide adequate care for their animals. The only things we posted are accurate pictures taken at the scene, where the two cougars were taken, along with the information that was provided by the authorities who confiscated the animals.”

The only reason the ‘authorities’ stepped in is because these so called rescuers called them in…The laws in Kansas have changed and without the proper permits he was required to rehome the animals or move…the sheriff didn’t care in the least for 2 years!!!-BULLSHIT!!! I don’t do BULLSHIT well at all!!!

  2. HSUS is to animals & their owners

    Hitller was to my people

  3. Actually, the pics look pretty good to me. Those cages look far better than the ones at BCR, held together with hog-rings. So BCR and In-Sync both are now working with H$U$. I see… In-Sync has “no problem with people who provide adequate care…” I bet. Adequate or not, if some nitwit decides to raid somebody, we now know who’s going to step up to take the booty without question. Carole needed some new bobcats anyway, after killing her last ones.

  4. Generally, people who say that they are “simply concerned with people who do not care for their animals properly” use that kind of rhetoric to pretend to justify robbery and they have no real interest in the well-being of the animals. And the authorities “stepped in,” did they? That’s one of the most offensive phrases ever.

This Jack Laurie has to be a piece of work anyway to condone, encourage, or practice pretending to find drugs on a person who is getting upset because they are mistreating him. Did that to take the starch out of him and pretend to be able to justify getting more violent.

  5. It’s a really bitter pill that someone in law enforcement would, at the behest of the HSUS, use a pretext search to enforce “cooperation” in violation of the man’s due process and property rights. I suspect that they pretended to find the meth on him. I wish this owner would speak out against the authorities and the HSUS.

  6. […] of property so the general public ends up deceived by the entire ordeal and the money flows!!! https://topcatsroar.wordpress.com/2013/05/08/zoo-wars-xiii-what-a-stink/ […]
