Animal Rights Gone Overboard

from a good friend:

“At this very moment, somewhere in the free world of these wonderful United States of America, a pet owner is cleaning up after their animal, scooping feces and spraying deodorizer on urine spots. Whether in their home, in a kennel, or out in the yard, they are nervously wondering whether they’ve done a good enough job. -Not for the sake of their pet, as they know their pet appreciates their efforts… Not for themselves, as they’ve lived with their pet long enough that skipping a couple days of clean-up wouldn’t bother them in the least… But for the “authorities” and busybody neighbors and AR folks who simply can’t leave well enough alone. “Did I miss a spot somewhere? Did a falling leaf land in the water bowl? Did my Fido finish her food and now her dish is empty? Did she get mud on her chew toy? Are her teeth freshly-brushed?” This pet owner is a nervous wreck from worrying that he/she may not be meeting somebody else’s extremely high standards, and in the blink of an eye could lose the animal and face bankrupting fines and penalties as well -if not jail time.”

Disclaimer connected to this blog…Things said are of my opinion and the opinion of others.  Best -B

  1. The sad reality is even IF you do all those things you can still be caught up & lose the love of your life :(

  2. I’d have to agree with that one. Your friend knows his/her stuff alright.
