Wash. man arrested with 1,000 lbs. of stolen mail

“And why are we familiar with Kitsap County Washington? Why, because they’ve jumped on the animal seizure wagon and been wrongfully seizing food animals from poor folks, of course. Seems they SHOULD have been focusing on REAL crime instead and maybe this guy wouldn’t have been able to accumulate 1,000 pounds of other people’s mail and go on an identity theft spree!”~PJ

Wash. man arrested with 1,000 lbs. of stolen mail

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. (AP) — Police in Port Townsend, Wash., say they recovered more than 1,000 pounds of stolen mail when they arrested a man who had been sought by state corrections officers for escaping from community custody in Federal Way.

Adam Lysiak was held on $250,000 bail after his arrest on Tuesday for investigation of identity theft and possession of stolen property.

Officer Luke Bogues says more than half of the mail has Kitsap County addresses.

Bogues says Lysiak has previous convictions for identity theft, possession of stolen property and possession of fraudulent bank checks.

The 38-year-old is accused of stealing from mailboxes in Kitsap, Jefferson and neighboring counties during the night to create fake identities, forge identification cards, pass bad checks and use stolen credit cards.

Stop abusing owners and stealing their animals while real crimes go by un-solved!!!

One of the worse cases of doing it wrong and stealing animals from their rightful owner happened in Kitsup County….Kitsup County Humane Society blundered and people spoke up about it!!! All charges were dropped but not before animals were slaughtered, given away and S/N. Custody of does not give anyone ownership or permission to abuse the owners or the animals!!!

There was a quiet settlement…All done at TAXPAYER EXPENSE!!!!

**Disclaimer connected to this blog…Things said are of my opinion and the opinion of others…Stay tuned -B

  1. The Bailey’s farm was always immaculate, the animals were all healthy & beautiful, I lived up the street from them, most folks liked them but we got all these city slickers that moved in who watched too many hoarder shows & they started calling like crazy, we actually had one ass who used to call on people’s dogs & roosters, he even called on someone’s horse neighing. The only thing wrong with this story is that the police had nothing to do with the seizure, it was Kitsap Humane, & God forbid you report real animal abuse, they do NOTHING. Welcome to Washington :(

    • I was so shocked when that came across my news feed. I used t go up there every year and loved it. Stopping along the way for ‘goodies’. Sadly, I have to say it’s a place I don’t want to go to again…Can’t get that one out of my mind… These excessive charges of cruelty have to stop…I think the elected officials need to know they can no longer frivolously spend Taxpayer dollars going after fake animal cruelty charges this way when there is real crime afoot!!! -B

  2. The way Kitsap County operates is that they contract for animal services with Kitsap Humane Society, KHS are the one’s who make the decisions to raid or do seizure’s. The only involvement the Police Dept has is to help serve a search warrant, but the Judge HAD to issue the warrant. So the raid happens for no good reason other then the Bailey’s didn’t lick the AC Officer’s bootstraps. The actual police, (not the wanna be animal cops) came to serve the warrant & were so pissed & disgusted that they left after that. The Bailey’s had been a community staple for years. This was purely the actions of the AC & whatever idiot judge they bamboozled into signing the warrant. I worked with the Bailey’s attorney to tell them start to finish how many laws they violated, once the prosecutor seen that “public opinion” was that he should just leave them alone & drop it, it was too late for many of the Bailey’s animals, they had either been forfeited, or speutered. The saddest part is that they had some animals that were the last of some very important bloodlines. Kitsap Humane GAVE AWAY many of their animals the very first day & most of those animals ended up being slaughtered for food, the very same thing they were looking down on the Bailey’s for. I know the cops out there, when we would have the dipstick city slickers call the cops on us for barking dogs, crowing roosters or neighing horses they’d come up to our doors & go “Hey those idiots called us again… (fill in the blanks)” The saddest thing about this is that I always had an awesome working relationship with Kitsap Humane, we traded dogs, I gave them any puppies I could get they would help me when I would get the dogs dumped on my doorstep, my personal opinion is this was the Chief’s idea. He was formerly in charge of King County Animal Services when they had all their problems if that tells you anything :(

I wish I would’ve known you when I lived out there, you could’ve stopped by & hung out with me & my crazy dog pack! Now I’m in the city again which is slowly sucking the soul out of me

    • Was there for engagements and would have loved hanging out!!! I hope you are able to find happiness no matter where you live!!! Best -B
